Eating a double down from KFC.
Before starting college at the University of Kentucky, I didn't realize just how wild Lexington was for fried chicken. However, one simply cannot ignore the staggering popularity of fried chicken restaurants in the city. In putting together this study, I identified 31 locations representing 11 national chains as well as 3 local places. Lexington's population is about 330,000 people, meaning there is roughly 1 fried chicken joint for every 1,000 people. Click on the tiles above to find out more.
